CHESAPEAKE AIRPORT AUTHORITY MINUTES July 10, 2013

The regular meeting of the Chesapeake Airport Authority was held on Wednesday,

July 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., at the Chesapeake Regional Airport, Chesapeake, Virginia.

CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Earl Hollowell declared a quorum present and called the July 2013 meeting to order at 7:00 p. m.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Mr. Earl Hollowell announced the officer nominations: Earl Hollowell, Chairman, Vince Gordon, Vice-Chairman and Mike Lucarelli, Treasury/Secretary. Mr. Tom Love moved that the nominations be closed and it was seconded and passed unanimously to accept the slate of officers as presented.

MINUTES
After review of the minutes, a motion was made and passed unanimously to accept the minutes from the June 2013 meeting.

TREASURER’S REPORT
Mr. Joe Love went over the end of year financials and answered questions from the board. Mr. Tom Love asked that the authority approve that the engineers start working on the site plan for the FBO project so that we can get city approval on changing the footprint. Mr. Vince Gordon asked questions about some payments made to Horizon Aviation and Around The Clock. Mr. Love stated that the payments to Horizon were for our contribution for their anniversary party and their fee for helping with a photo shoot that was performed by Landmark Aviation. The authority received $1,000 for the photo shoot and we split that with Horizon A motion was made and passed unanimously to accept the Treasurer’s report.

INVOICES
Mr. Joe Love went over the invoices for the month: JD Miles $8,600.00 (FBO roof repairs); Talbert & Bright $2,405.63 (Coastal Zone); and USI Insurance $4,304.00 (Annual Renewal). A motion was made, seconded and passed unanimously to approve the invoices for the month of June/July 2013.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mr. Tom Love made a motion, seconded by Mr. Tom Epley to assemble informally to meet with legal counsel in a closed meeting in accordance with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, Section 2.2-3712.A, Clause 1 (discussion, consideration and interviews for prospective employment) and 7 (consultation with legal counsel) as indicated on Form I attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Mr. Vince Gordon  a motion, seconded by Mr. Mike Lucarelli and passed unanimously to adjourn the Executive Session in accordance with the resolution in accordance with the Virginia Freedom Information Act, Section 2.2-3712, as indicated on Form II attached hereto and made a part hereof.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, a motion was made, seconded and passed unanimously to adjourn the meeting.
